HELP FUND THE COOPERATIVE FEEDING PROGRAM'S SHOWER PROGRAM

The Cooperative Feeding Program is now providing about 50-60 showers a day to individuals and families who have lost their homes. The cost of maintaining the showers, providing hot water and shower and hygiene needs has increased dramatically. We have plans to build additional showers to meet the need and reduce long waits of four to five hours for a shower. In addition, to conserve paper products and be more environmentally conservative, we have installed the Tornado Body Dryer in our showers. This invention eliminates the need for using paper bath towels or cloth towels, reducing waste and also reducing the spread of disease. The distributor of The Tornado Dryer is allowing us to promote the product, while receiving a percentage of any sales made from our web site referral. This dyer is perfect for home use, or more importantly in public showers, group homes, shelters and other places where a large number of people must share shower space. We think its a great idea for non profits concerned about costs, health and safety issues, and about being conservative on their use of limited natural resources. We encourage you to check out the Tornado Body Dryer and if you wish to purchase one for your home, business, facility or vacation cottage, please indicate that you learned about Tornado Body Dryer from The Cooperative Feeding Program. This product is recommended also for the elderly who have difficulty reaching and bending to dry themselves after showering or who may be at risk of falling from such activity. Remember, your purchase will do more than give you a warm air dry after showering without any mess, it will also provide badly needed funding for our shower program. Check them out at www.tornadobodydryer.com. Thank you.

THANKFUL TO BE ABLE TO HELP

Today, we fed a hungry, homeless child. We squeezed that in between doing a few hundred homeless census surveys, 30 food stamp applications, and serving 400 hundred meals and handing out 175 family food boxes. Oh, there were lots of showers, phone calls, mail pickups and a hundred other things happening. But her story was the most important one. She's living in a car with her grandma. No luck today in finding her a better place to live. But Pierre was in for a visit. Pierre once was homeless living and in a car and we helped his Dad find work and get an apartment. Today he was in for his monthly visit to show us all how well he is doing. As for our new visitor, Dora fixed spaghetti and meatballs for lunch and put her into a big chair to eat.

The child scraped the bowl clean, with a grin from ear to ear. She'd only had water today to stop the ache of hunger, so lunch at 2:00 p.m. was gobbled down. After some cuddles with Pierre, she fell off to sleep. Maybe tomorrow, like Pierre, she'll get to find a home to go to. We'll sure be trying to find her one.

There are hundreds of stories like this as we now see over 700 individuals each and every day. Want to help make a difference in the lives who desperately need your help, go to our donate page and make a much appreciated gift today. Thank you.
